Santa Monica Pier 2017

This bustling wooden wharf is the place to be, with its eateries, shops, high-tech arcade, roller coaster, giant Ferris wheel and other rides, famous 1922 indoor merry-go-round and fantastic views of the bay and the mountains. Chase got to ride a lot of the rides, his favorite was the roller coaster! 

The Pier is perched over the Pacific Ocean in Santa Monica, "The Pier" feels more like a carnival than a place to shop. Cirque du Soleil pitches their tent on the beach here annually, and there are concerts and dances on the weekends in the summer. The pier's end provides one of the best sunset views in Los Angeles County.

We had a great time on the beach and the world famous Venice Beach is just a short walk away.
